Using this website
You may read, print and share the pages of this site. The text, design, code, diagrams and downloadable documents remain our copyright. You may not resell them or present them as your own work. Free guides may be shared whole and unchanged; they may not be sold.
The free tools on this site
The Project Health Check, the free website check and the free guides are general information. They describe good practice; they are not professional advice about your particular project, business, finances or legal position, and they are not a substitute for engaging someone who has looked at your actual documents.
A score, a rating or a written finding from a free tool is a starting point for a conversation. Do not make a funding, contractual or employment decision on the strength of it alone.
Enquiries and quotes
An enquiry, a free check, or a conversation about your project does not create an engagement and does not oblige either of us to proceed. Work begins only when a written proposal setting out scope, price and timing has been accepted by you in writing.
Client work
- Scope. Each engagement is defined by its written proposal. Anything outside it is a variation, quoted and agreed before it is done.
- Ownership. On final payment you own the deliverables produced for you — the site, the workbook, the documents and the source files. We keep the right to describe the work and show it as an example unless you ask us not to.
- Third parties. Hosting, domains, payment processors and similar services are supplied by third parties on their own terms, and their fees are yours.
- Cooling off. On fixed-scope work you may cancel within 14 days of accepting a proposal; you pay only for work already done. Retainers may be ended by either of us on 30 days' written notice.
Digital products
Templates, dashboards, guides and similar files are licensed to you for use in your own business, including for your clients. They may not be resold, sub-licensed or redistributed as a product of their own.
What we do not promise
We do not promise particular business results. We do not promise sales, rankings, traffic, funding, savings or a project outcome, because those depend on many things outside our control. Where a page describes what a system does, that is a description of the system, not a prediction about your business.
Liability
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing here limits those. Beyond them, and to the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time you use the site is the one that applies, and the date below shows when it last changed.
