The short version
This site does not run advertising trackers, does not sell data, and does not require an account. The Project Health Check runs entirely inside your own browser: your answers are never sent to us unless you choose to email your result.
What we collect
- What you send us. If you email us, or use a button on this site that opens an email, we receive what you write — typically your name, email address, your website address and what you have told us about your project.
- Health Check answers. These stay in your browser. If you use the "email your score" button, your result is placed into an email that you send yourself, and we then hold it as ordinary correspondence.
- Server logs. Our host records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability.
What we do with it
We use it to answer you, to prepare a proposal, to carry out work you have engaged us for, and to keep the records the law requires. We do not sell it, rent it or trade it.
We only send marketing email to people who have asked for it, we identify ourselves in it, and every message carries an unsubscribe. This follows the Spam Act 2003. If you have only made an enquiry, you will hear from us about that enquiry and nothing else.
Where it is held
This site is hosted by Netlify and our email is provided by Google. Payments, where they apply, are handled by third-party processors such as Stripe, Gumroad or Payhip. These are established providers that store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not have a copy of your card details at any point.
How long we keep it
Correspondence that does not lead to work is kept while it is useful and then deleted. Records connected to an engagement or a payment are kept for seven years, as tax and business record-keeping obligations require.
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, this page will say so before it happens.
Your choices
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing portjacksongroup@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles. If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with a privacy matter, you can raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
This site is intended for people in business. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
